This phenomenon is common, the main engine factory reflects strongly, and the oil channeling of gear oil pump seriously affects the normal work of loader, the reliability of gear oil pump and environmental pollution.

If the geometry of the oil seal lip is unqualified, the tightening spring is too loose, resulting in air leakage in the air tightness test, and oil channeling after the gear pump is installed into the main engine. At this time, the oil seal should be replaced and the material and geometry should be inspected (the quality gap between domestic oil seal and foreign advanced oil seal is large).
If the gear pump processing, assembly problems, resulting in the gear shaft center of rotation and the front cover stop is not concentric, will cause oil seal eccentric wear. At this time, check the symmetry and displacement of the front cover bearing hole to the pin hole, and the coaxiality of the framework oil seal to the bearing hole.
If this problem exists, the seal ring will be cracked and scratched, resulting in the secondary seal not tight or even failure, and the pressure oil will enter the framework oil seal (low pressure channel), so the oil seal will leak. At this time, the seal ring material and processing quality should be checked.
According to the feedback from customers, the problem of oil leakage of gear pump oil seal assembled with variable speed pump is serious, so the processing quality of variable speed pump also has a great impact on oil leakage. The oil return passage of the front cover between the framework oil seal and the sealing ring of the gear oil pump is not smooth, which causes the pressure to rise here and breaks through the framework oil seal. After the improvement, the phenomenon of oil channeling is obviously improved. Usually, the working pump is installed on the transmission pump, and the transmission pump is installed on the gearbox. If the end face of the gearbox or the variable speed pump jumps out of tolerance to the rotation center of the spline shaft, the accumulated error will be formed, which will cause the gear pump to bear the radial force under the high-speed rotation state, resulting in the oil leakage of the oil seal. The speed change pump is installed on the output shaft of the gearbox, and the gear pump is located on the output shaft of the gearbox through the stop of the speed change pump. If the run out (verticality) of the stop end of the speed change pump facing the gear rotation center exceeds the tolerance, the rotation center of the gear shaft will not coincide with the center of the oil seal, thus affecting the seal. During the processing and trial production of variable speed pump, check the coaxiality of the rotary center to the stop and the run out of the end face of the stop.
Whether the clearance between the gear pump's outer stop and the gear pump's inner stop and the gear pump's outer spline and the gear box's spline shaft's inner spline is reasonable or not will affect the oil channeling of the gear pump. Because the inner and outer stops belong to the positioning part, the fit clearance should not be too large; the inner and outer splines belong to the transmission part, and the fit clearance should not be too small to eliminate interference. Due to the short effective contact length between the extended spline of gear oil pump shaft and the inner knuckle of gearbox output shaft, and the large torque transmitted by gear oil pump during operation, the spline is subject to large torque, resulting in extrusion wear and even rolling key, resulting in huge heat, resulting in burn and aging of rubber lip of framework oil seal, resulting in oil channeling. It is suggested that the strength of extended spline of gear oil pump shaft should be checked to ensure sufficient effective contact length.
